An Intervention Study of the Counter-stereotype Information on the Acceptance Degree of the Men in N

  • The purpose was to examine the associations between counter-stereotype information and adolescent acceptance degree of male nurses and the attitude to male nurses. The experimental, research and questionnaire survey methods were applied, and the participants were 412 college students. The results show that counter-stereotype information was positively and linearly associated with attitude to men in nursing, which in turn was associated with life acceptance degree of male nurses, but the counter-stereotype information cannot predict the profession acceptance degree of male nurses. Counter-stereotype information can be used as important intervene strategy to improve individual attitude and life acceptance degree to male nurses
