The Generation Logic， Core Essence and Value Implications of the Historical View of Chinese-style Modernization

The historical perspective on Chinese modernisation is an overarching view on fundamental historical issues， such as the pathways to modernisation and its direction of development， formed by members of the Communist Party of China. It is based on their adherence to and application of the basic principles of the materialist conception of history， employing a broad historical perspective as a methodological framework and a correct view of the Party’s history as a fundamental guide. This perspective has been developed through a systematic summary of the historical process of Chinese modernisation， its unique experiences and its global significance. The historical perspective on Chinese-style modernisation has matured through the interplay of four interrelated logics： theoretical， cultural， practical and global. It is closely aligned with the five essential characteristics of Chinese modernisation， with its core tenets centred on highlighting the people’s central role， establishing a historical yardstick of fairness and justice， adhering to the historical laws of all-round development， shouldering the historical responsibility of sustainable development， and charting a historical path towards a truly human history. In terms of its value implications， the Chinese historical perspective has， at the theoretical level， enriched and expanded the theoretical framework of Marxist historical philosophy； at the practical level， it has forged the historical initiative to advance Chinese modernisation； and at the global level， it has contributed a Chinese solution to the historical perspective on modernisation that transcends Western-centrism.
