College Ideological and Political Education in Major Epidemic Situations——a Case Study of Fighting COVID-19 in China

  • In the response to major epidemics, ideological and political education in colleges and universities has the practical significance of ensuring the direction of thoughts, alleviating psychological fluctuations and regulating individual behaviors. While the major epidemic has a negative impact on ideological and political education in colleges and universities, it also brings opportunities to enhance the initiative of the education subject, highlight the dynamics of the education object, improve the education method system, and profoundly change the education environment. Ideological and political education in colleges and universities should strengthen the education of the advanced nature of the Communist Party of China, the self-confidence education of the socialist system with Chinese characteristics, the education of the Chinese spirit and the awareness of civil society responsibility, reinforcing the practical relevance and effect of strong ideological and political education in colleges and universities.
