Intertextuality Reading of Jinghuan Xiangu in A Dream of Red Mansions

  • The external beauty of Jinghuan Xiangu is influenced by the writing of ancient beauty and goddess. The storyline has an inter-textual relationship with the "recommendation pillow" in the ancient Fairy Lady Fu, the story of West Queen mother Huijun and the meeting of gods and men in the cave novels. The writing of his educational program of "desiring to end one's desires" may be influenced by the creative program of "advising 100 to satirize one" of Da Fu in the Han Dynasty and the story of clavicle bodhisattva in many aspects. In role-playing, West Queen mother and Guanyin may have inspired the shaping of the image of Jinghuan Xiangu in some specific scenarios, but the relation between Jiutian Xuannv and the image of Jinghuan Xiangu is the most close and direct. the revelation of whose "intertextual" relationship in a specific period provides a new perspective for thinking about A Dream of Red Mansions with strong stylistic characteristics in the late Ming Dynasty.
