On the Comparison between Longfellow and Tennyson

Abstract
Longfellow and Tennyson are most influential poets in American and British poets in the 19th century. They admired each other spiritually and learned from each other in writing, all of them achieved outstanding literary achievements. In the view of the spiritual community, the paper thinks that the two poets are almost the same in their family background, the theme, style, choice of intention, the body of songs and the theme of sentimentalism, and sentimentalism. The difference between the two poets lies in the fact that Longfellow is actively creating both local and exotic poems under the impetus of independent American literature in the context of American independence in the nineteenth century; Tennesseans poet is created in the field of "progressive" discourse, and it was an exclusion of the imperial environment in the 19th century, which included reflections on the speed of social progress/development. Although the purpose of them is different, but they interact in the formation of cross-regional a unique spiritual community.
