An Analysis of the Relationship between The Comments on Puyang Celebrities and SONG Lian's Biography of Celebrities in Puyang

SONG Lian's historical works Biography of Celebrities in Puyang was written in the late of Yuan Dynasty. During the Ming Dynasty, MAO Fengshao, the Pujiang county magistrate, wrote Pujiang Zhilue, and took part of the preface and statements as the comments. Later on, HAN Shuyang countermarked Songxueshi Collected Works. He didn't saw Songlian's Biography of Celebrities in Puyang, so he took part of the comments from Pujiang Zhilue, and wrote The Comments on Puyang Celebrities. So The Comments of Puyang Celebrities was not written by Song Lian, which could bring mistakes to research. It is suggested that modern scholars should delete this volume.
