Research on Gushi Dialect in Categorizing Dialect and the Phonetic Notation in Joseon Period

Categorizing Dialect and the Phonetic Notation written in Joseon Period collected and recorded Chinese language vocabularies and dialects. Today, the same vocabularies can be especially found in Gushi dialect. It reflects the precipitation of dialect in the passage and the development of dialect vocabularies in recent times. Meanwhile, the foreign language materials can also reflect the characteristics of the dialect:compatible with the north-south dialect vocabularies, inheriting ancient Chinese vocabularies, affix weak reading and the trend of zi (子) according with the modern Chinese vocabularies. By contrast, the dialect has its ecological characteristics in history. This is of great significance for the study of dialect, lexicology and regional culture.
