A Review of Research on Regional Tourism Cooperation

The research of regional cooperation in tourism is complementary to the practice of regional cooperation, which has experienced more than thirty years from the beginning to the comprehensive development. According to the breadth and depth of the study, the research process can be divided into three stages. There are plentiful research productions, mainly focusing on the basic conceptual framework, development main body research, development pattern research, planning content research and development theory research, regional tourism cooperation research,and so on. In the future, it is necessary to establish a global awareness and recognize the necessity of regional tourism cooperation. Based on the deep investigation of the current situation of cooperation, more research results should be promoted by relevant theories.
