The Formation Mechanism and Governance of Bullying on Campus from the Perspective of Emotional Interaction Ritual Chain Theory

  • At present, the problem of bullying on campus has become a concern of the whole society. It is of great theoretical and practical significance to analyze its generating mechanism and put forward corresponding governance suggestions. The theory of emotional interaction ritual chain takes situation as the starting point to analyze the generation mechanism of campus bullying. It is found that campus bullying occurs in a certain situation, which is related to the specific situation characteristics of campus bullying. The generation mechanism of campus bullying is to transform conflict tension into asymmetric emotional energy by attacking the weak, identity and the presence of bystanders. Based on the theory of emotional interaction ritual chain, schools should pay attention to strengthen the emotional education of students, improve the ability of students' emotional regulation, and stimulate the moral feelings of onlookers in the process of campus bullying governance.
