Abstract: The national opera Love Makes Home, mainly performed by the teachers and the students from Arts School of Wuhan university, is not only touching, but also has a good social response. Furthermore, it has important implications for exploring new forms of art education. The reason why this play is so touching is mainly due to five reasons:First, the play is based on real people and impressive things; secondly, the artistic techniques of the play are so ingenious that can easily touch audiences in their deep hearts; thirdly, the performance of the play is lifelike and exquisite for connecting and moving audiences; fourthly, the play is properly processed with musical rhythm and style; fifthly, the main staffs of the play (including playwrights, composers, directors, dancers, and all the actors), under the inspiration of LIU Defen's spirit, cooperated with each other and inspired each other to produce this wonderful play. In addition, the success of the play has given us an important revelation:the cooperation between teachers and students can become a good form of art education. This kind of education, compared with classroom teaching, can lead teachers and students to the essence and the function of art, from which they can make their emotions and minds more comprehensive, and spread positive energy through the whole society. In doing so, the greater aesthetic significance can be achieved.
