Abstract: The Nineteen Ancient Poems is the model of the five-word poems. Previously people would like to explain it into political meanings when they were savoring its neutral sentences and explicit emotions. CHEN Zuoming's A Selection of Ancient Poems in Caishutang put more emphasis on lyricism and artistic quality, in which he made particular comments about The Nineteen Ancient poems. He thought there were two kinds of feelings in The Nineteen Ancient Poems:one was the depression of unsuccessful with time flying, and the other was the parting of the couple. What's more, CHEN Zuoming praised highly of the implicit lyrical tactics and the unique language arts. His thoughts put forward a new interpretation to savor The Nineteen Ancient Poems for later generations.
