Abstract: The overburden of schoolwork on primary and secondary school students, which seriously damages the physical and mental health of teenagers and affecting the people's good life, is becoming a major problem. In this survey, 28 primary schools, 31 junior high schools and 25 senior high schools were selected from cities, towns and rural areas throughout Henan province. Questionnaire survey, interview, field survey and other methods were used to investigate and statistically analyze the status quo of the schoolwork burden of primary and secondary school students. The overburden of primary school students has been basically contained, but the overburden of middle school students is more prominent. The burden on campus has been effectively controlled, but the burden off campus has been greatly increased, and the burden reduction effect is not satisfactory.
